Some people react negatively to the baking soda and develop a rash or underarm discoloring. If this happens to you, stopping using the natural deodorant probably will stop the irritation.

If you are currently using standard store bought deodorant, your body will go through a detoxification period when you switch to natural deodorant. So, for a 3-4 days, it may seem like the natural deodorant is not working, but really you are simply detoxifying from the chemicals in store bought deodorant. This doesn't happen to everyone, but some have reported this happening.
